DC/Baltimore Immersion Week - March 2020

The DC/Baltimore Immersion Week is back! This experiential learning experience is set-up for 20 Syracuse University sophomores interested in gaining an understanding of the opportunities, culture and inner workings of the capital region to include citizenship, public service, nonprofit management and doing business in the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia area.

This is an exciting week-long program where students will network with alumni and employers, as well as have the chance to experience life in the D.C. area Sunday, March 15, through Friday, March 20, 2020. This trip is all expense-paid and includes roundtrip student travel from Syracuse University to D.C. Lodging and most meals will be covered.

General Information Sessions
Learn more about this trip during Central Career Services General Information Sessions on
Tuesday, October 15, and Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 5:30pm. Both sessions will be hosted in the Women's Building second floor Conference Room (across from the gym). Be sure to register for either of these session in the events tab!

The deadline to apply will conclude at 9 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10. All completed applications will be reviewed by a selection committee, post this date and students that are selected will be notified by Monday, December 2. For those that are selected, you will be required to attend a professional development and informational workshop at the start of the Spring 2020 Semester (more information provided at a later date).

Please note: This trip begins Sunday, March 10 around 7 a.m. and ends on Friday, March 15 around midnight. Our daily schedule includes mandatory programmed activities from approximately 7 a.m. through 9 p.m. daily. This trip involves 4-5 alumni / employer visits per day and includes transportation via chartered bus, D.C. Metro and walking. Students should be ready engage in question and answer sessions and other events with alumni.
