Music Marketing & Publishing Internship

Poseidon Holdings Internship Program is an immersive opportunity designed to provide real world experience and exposure to a career in the music entertainment industry.

The Music Marketing/Publishing Position focuses on the connection of artists and brands directly to fans through storytelling, as well as world building experiences. Responsibilities include content curation, ideation, public relations, artists and repertoire (A&R), creator partnerships, management assistance, publishing administration, marketing and potentially more.

Daily remote activities will include roll out implementation, music marketing, social media management, playlist analysis, influencer/fan outreach, management/executive assistance, grant drafting, stakeholder communication/events, registering song copyrights, content curation, catalog analysis and additional tasks related to operating a record label.

Required:

  • Passionate about music with a desire to progress within the company
  • Desire to work within marketing & publishing
  • The ability to multitask and learn quickly
  • Self-motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – confident liaising with suppliers, team members, artists and their management
  • Highly organised with the ability to keep calm under pressure
  • Flexible and able to prioritise own workload
  • Good computer skills i.e. Microsoft Office, Excel, Word
  • Remote Capabilities (ie. Discord, Asana, Laptop & More)

Desirable:

  • Experience working in ‘music’ (personal or professional)
  • Photoshop/ Video Editing skills
  • Ideation
  • Grant writing
  • Great communication & hospitality skills

Preferred Majors: Art History, Entertainment and Arts Management,  Music Industry, Marketing & Arts/Engineering focuses
