Graphic Design Summer Semester Intern

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Graphic Design Intern to join our team. As a Graphic Design Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on various design projects and contribute to the creation of visually appealing and impactful materials for our clients. This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in the field of graphic design within a PR environment.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in the creation of engaging visual content for our clients' PR campaigns, including social media graphics, website assets, infographics, presentations and other promotional materials.

- Collaborate with the LáLew team to develop and maintain consistent brand identities across different communication channels.

- Support the team in brainstorming and conceptualizing creative ideas for client projects.

- Utilize industry-standard software tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) to design and produce high-quality graphics.

- Conduct research to stay updated on design trends, emerging technologies and best practices in the graphic design field.

- Ensure all design work adheres to brand guidelines and meets team and client requirements and objectives.

- Assist in organizing and maintaining the digital asset library, ensuring easy access to design resources for the team.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including, copywriters and account managers, to understand client objectives and incorporate them into the design process.

- Provide general support to the account manager team as needed, including file organization, formatting and other administrative tasks.

Qualifications:

- Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Advertising, Visual Communication or a related field.

- Proficient in graphic design software, particularly Canva. Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory and composition.

- Knowledge of current design trends and best practices in digital and print media.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work within given deadlines.

- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

- A portfolio or samples of previous design work showcasing creativity and technical skills.

Interns are paid each semester with a $1,000 stipend.
