Graphic Design Intern

  As we gear up for an exciting summer season, we are looking for a passionate and talented Graphic Design Intern to join us in bringing our events to life. The Drury summer internship program is a treasured tradition, where we allow our interns to learn firsthand and sharpen their skills in the event marketing space. 


 

Position: Graphic Design Intern 

Location: New York City [Chelsea]/Remote

4-day work week. 

Tuesdays/Thursdays in the office while Mondays/Wednesdays are remote. 

Duration: June 1st to August 15th 

Pay: $20 an hour 


 

Qualifications: 

  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a graphic design, visual communication, or related program.
  • Proficient in:
    • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
    • Digital Design Tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Outlook, Keynote, Slack, and Zoom)
  • Additional experience in animation, video, photography, 3D Design, or digital software like: :
    • Adobe AfterEffects
    • Adobe Premier
    • Figma
    • SketchUp
    • V-Ray
    • MediaValet
  • Strong portfolio showcasing design skills, creativity and an understanding of design principles.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • A passion for events, marketing, and staying aware of current design trends.
  • Ability to work in the office and remotely


 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborative Design: Work closely with the design team to conceptualize and develop designs for event marketing campaigns, including but not limited to presentations, social media graphics, event signage, collateral, and internal branding promotional materials.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure brand consistency across all design projects, adhering to established client guidelines and contributing to the evolution of our visual identity.
  • Adaptability: Be ready to pivot and adapt designs based on client feedback and project requirements. Flexibility and a proactive approach to challenges are key.
  • Creative Ideation: Bring fresh and innovative ideas, contributing to brainstorming sessions and creative strategy meetings.
  • Production Assistance: Assist in the production process to understand file requirements, organize work, and design media specifications for high-quality design work.
