Video Intern

As we gear up for an exciting summer season, we are looking for a passionate and talented video intern to join us in bringing our events to life. We pride ourselves on creating compelling and impactful video content that resonates with our audience. The Drury summer internship program is a treasured tradition, where we allow our interns to learn firsthand and sharpen their skills in the event marketing space. 


 

Position: Video Intern 

Location: New York City [Chelsea]/Hybrid

4-day work week. 

Tuesdays/Thursdays in the office while Mondays/Wednesdays are remote. 

Duration: June 1st to August 15th 

Pay: $20 an hour 



 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assisting in administrative tasks, such as inventory/cataloging footage and equipment as well as asset management. Gain exposure to working with a shared-storage editing platform LAN, applying metadata and LTO Archiving.
  • Participate in on-set production activities, such as securing releases, carrying equipment, assisting camera and crew, and problem-solving in real-time. Gain experience using slates, color-chip charts, and lighting and sound for video.
  • Support post-production efforts by organizing raw footage, establishing timelines, applying color correction, and cleaning up sound in Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Work alongside an in-house editor to follow a style aesthetic for new projects. Gain exposure to Adobe AfterEffects design and rendering.
  • Contribute creative ideas and innovative solutions to enhance the quality and impact of our video content.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in video editing and production techniques.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality video outputs that meet project requirements and objectives. Gain an understanding of video deliverable specs.


 

Qualifications: 

  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a degree program related to film, media production, or a related field. 
  • Proficiency in video editing software:
    • Adobe Premiere Pro
    • Adobe After Effects
  • An understanding of video production processes, including camera operation, lighting, and audio recording.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
