Marketing Intern

About the role: We are looking for an intern to function as the right-hand person to the Marketing Manager of Modern Picnic. As a marketing intern, you will be responsible for carrying out marketing strategy projects, conducting competitive analysis, as well as the development of cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities: 

  • Be a trusted partner to the Marketing Manager, organizing current needs, anticipating potential conflicts, and handling sensitive business information
  • Organize and schedule internal and external meetings for the Marketing Manager
  • Attend key meetings, track and help drive completion of key deliverables, and follow up on outstanding items
  • Create presentation materials for internal meetings 
  • Perform research and competitive analysis for new projects 
  • In charge of creating content for each social media platform and for scheduling the content to coincide with new product drops, events, etc
  • Support the Marketing Manager with vetting influencers and continuing to grow our influencer program 
  • Work alongside Marketing Manager to grow marketing channels and contribute to company initiatives 

You: 

  • Have outstanding interpersonal communication skills and excellent written/verbal skills
  • Have an understanding of Google Analytics or some data platform and are able to organize data
  • Are detail oriented and are able to remain highly organized in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Are a problem solver with strong decision making skills
  • Are able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Have a passion for social media and deep understanding of the digital marketing landscape
  • Have a strong appreciation for branding and design, and attentiveness to brand guidelines
  • Are self-motivated and have a strong work ethic

Other:

  • Must be able to commit to 3 days/week
  • Unpaid internship. Credit available upon request
  • Must be able to work remotely
